Upgraded to a Polk CS10 Center Channel Speaker and I have to admit that I have been debating over this speaker which has two 5-inch speakers or the CS2 (which has two 6.5 speaker). But in the end, I decided on the CS10. Right off the box, it was nice and sturdy. Removing the front grill, and it looks absolute beautiful. Upon hooking them up, I noticed the difference in the clarity of audio dialogue. It seems as if the centers really came alive during spoken dialogue quite well and definitely notice a big difference from my Kenwood and RCA Pro Centers within the last 15 years. For those purchasing the CS10, some may wonder if they should go cherry or black to save $20 more. If I had to do it all over again for my personal setup, I wish I went with black. The cherry features mostly all back from the front and sides but if you are the type who likes to remove the grill then it's all cherry in the front. Otherwise, if you don't, and keep the black grill on, it's mostly all black with the cherry mainly on the rear and back and underneath. Anyway, big bang for an affordable price for the budget-conscious audiophile!

I just purchased the Polk CS10 and it is by far the best center channel out there for the money! Nothing comes close to the great sound from this speaker at this increadable price. Not only does it sound great, but it looks great as well. It has a beautiful piano black finish on both sides. It also allows you to invert the speaker to place it below your T.V. with an upward angle of about 20 degrees. This worked out great for me since I did not want to buy a new entertainment rack just to replace my center and reciver. Be fore-warned the 6 1/2 inch dimention given as the total height is incorrect!!! It's 7 1/2 inches exactually! Only by inverting it was I able to get it to fit on the glass shelf right below my Panasonic 50inch Plasma! But as I said it worked out for the best this way as the sound is now directly below my T.V. but angled up at about 20 degrees.I also bought a new Yamaha RX-V467 Receiver for $250.00. It also sounds absolutly great and is the best receiver for the money I have ever bought. I used to only by Sony but even though they are cheaper they are also cutting back on many extras. I also plan on buying the Polk Monitor 40's or TSi 200's in June. I want all my speakers to be voice matched, but I must say even my old Chicago Speakerworks satilite speakers sound great with this Yamaha Receiver after you use the calibration mic. These were considered hi-end speakers when I bought them over 20 years ago and they still sound great. They dont wear out since the main 5 inch driver has a rubber surround and a 1 inch pearless dome tweeter that still sounds just as good as the Polks. I'm only replacing them due to the oak look that has gone out of style, plus they are a bit bulky compared to the Polks. I'll probably use them as temp surround sound speakers until I pick up a set of Polk Monitor 30's or TSi 100's in the near future. My Dad has had Polk speakers for quite some time and for the price they simply can not be beat hands down!! My old Infinity center channel does not even come close to the sound quality of the CS10 and it had 6 1/2 inch midbass drivers. Size does not matter!(Unless your a girl just kidding) Quality drivers, build, and crossover electronics due!! This center is the best sound for the money, it sounds even and has a good amount of bass that my Infinity did not come close to having. Buy one you wont be dissapointed!! I bought this as a Christmas present for my father, and liked it so much I replaced my slightly smaller/shallower Paradigm speaker with this Polk instead. I also run Polk 4" surround bookshelf speakers with a pair of Boston Acoustics 8" front speakers and a 10" Klipsch sub. This speaker added the mid and low range that the former center channel speaker was missing, so each component of the setup contributes equally to the overall sound, rather than making the sub create all the bass from one spot in the room. It's also great that you can flip the cover and either set it flat, or on the angled edge. Great value and sound quality.
